New Year Hike and Bonfire at Picton Wildlife Sanctuary

January 5, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Celebrate the New Year with a winter hike and bonfire at the beautiful George and Lillian Picton Wildlife Sanctuary in White Haven, PA on Saturday, January 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. NBLT staffer, Paula Fall, will guide us. Depending upon the snow depth, Paula will lead us on an easy one-mile hike around Lillian’s pond or an easy to moderate 3-mile hike around Lillian’s pond and up Split Rock trail.

We’ll have coffee and doughnuts to enjoy while warming up around the bonfire.
No charge for NBLT members
$10.00 charge for non-members
Registration is required and the deadline is Thursday, January 3 by 5:00 p.m.
We have a 30 person limit!

To register by email send to smith@nblt.org, by phone call the NBLT office at 570-310-1781, or click the REGISTER EVENT! button below.

Please wear sturdy shoes or boots for hiking, and if there is snow, bring your snowshoes and/or cross-country skis. Children are welcome, but please note that this preserve does not have indoor facilities.

Come on out and enjoy the great outdoors and spend time with old friends and/or make new friends! (If Mother Nature decides to send severe weather conditions our way on January 5, we will, unfortunately, need to cancel this hike.)

Please understand we need to leave our four-legged friends at home.
