Kay Strickland
With the exception of a brief stint in North Carolina’s Piedmont, Kay has lived her life in the valleys and hills of the Appalachian Mountains. An avid birder, Kay appreciates northeastern Pennsylvania’s unique geology, and the species that call it home fuel her commitment to its conservation.
Kay has supported North Branch Land Trust since its inception and served on the board from 2014-2017. She is eager to return and contribute to building its capacity to protect our region’s landscapes and viewsheds.
A native of Virginia, Kay holds education degrees from UNC-Greensboro and University of Pittsburgh. After spending a few years in the science classroom, Kay moved with her husband to the Back Mountain. They have two grown kids, an adorable puppy, and a tuxedo cat.
