Joe Butkiewicz is the Director of Community Engagement for the North Branch Land Trust.  Joe was the Managing Editor at The Times-Tribune in Scranton. Prior to that he worked at The Times Leader in Wilkes-Barre for 30 years as a writer, editor and Executive Editor. He serves on the boards of the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor and the land committee of the NBLT. Joe previously served on the boards of the Luzerne County Historical Society, the Family Service Association of Wyoming Valley and Friends of the Sordoni Art Gallery. He is an avid cyclist and hiker and enjoys fly fishing, gardening and researching local history.
