Laurel Run Borough & Plains Township - UNDER CONSTRUCTION
D&L Trail - Laurel Run to Oliver Mills
This portion of the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor spearheaded by North Branch Land Trust loops from Northampton Street/Laurel Run Road around Wilkes-Barre Mountain. It will eventually connect downtown Wilkes-Barre, Seven Tubs Recreation Area, and multiple communities.
Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor preserves, interprets, and leverages the nationally significant history of the over 165-mile transportation route between Wilkes-Barre and Bristol, Pennsylvania.
REMINDER – The Seven Tubs (MM 152.25) to Oliver Mills Crossing (MM 149.5) section is not and has never been open to the public during the construction phase.

D&L Trail History:
North Branch Land Trust began this project in 2015 with support from local partners and the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The 2.8 mile trail will connect Oliver Mills to Northampton Street by way of an abandoned railbed around Little Wilkes Barre Mountain. The trail will be improved stone. Maps will be available upon public access. The Laurel Run – Oliver Mills segment of the D&L trail is CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC while under construction.
